WHERE THE RIVER MEETS THE ROAD.
The trucking industry plays a vital role in the daily movement of goods with an average of 1,000 trucks making a round trip, hauling cargo in and out of Port NOLA five days a week.
Local and national carriers provide truck service via the Interstate Highway System. The Clarence Henry Truckway, a dedicated roadway on Port property, gives truckers efficient and dedicated access to the Port’s cargo terminals.
Memorial Day Weekend Media Advisory
Port of New Orleans Felicity Street entrance will temporarily close during Memorial Day Holiday weekend for rail crossing upgrades
The Felicity Street entrance to the Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) cargo facilities will be temporarily closed beginning Sunday, May 28 through Monday, May 29 as the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) makes rail crossing upgrades.
During the Felicity closure, vehicle traffic will enter and exit the Port at the Louisiana Avenue and Napoleon Avenue access points. Port NOLA and NOPB have worked with stakeholders to schedule the closure during a holiday weekend to avoid significant interruptions, however traffic delays may still be possible.
The work is expected to be completed Monday, May 29 and the Felicity Street entrance will reopen on Tuesday, May 30.
